These positions will be available beginning in May and ending in August. This program is intended as a benefit providing full time summer work opportunities to students to help pay for schooling. These general labor production positions require working regular shift schedules including weekend overtime.

• Inspects castings or cores for defects per work instructions including external defects, excessive core fin or flash, burn-in sand, high ingate, etc.
• Operates grinders (i.e. hand and pedestal) in a safe manner by inspecting grinder for proper adjustment, cracks or chips in the wheel and overall working condition.
• Places finished parts/cores in designated shipping containers for shipment as specified by work instructions.
• Operate shakeout including separating gates, risers, and castings.
• Assembly of cores
• Setting cores and filters
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Must be able to work in a noisy, dusty environment.
• Must be comfortable working around moving machinery.
• Ability to work in close proximity to hot parts.
• Physically demanding position requires lifting up to 60 lbs. frequently
• Must be able to stand entire shift (8 hours)
• May be assigned other duties as needed.
