Customer Technical Consultant/ CSR

Metal Supermarkets is the world’s largest distributor of small quantity metals, with 90 franchised stores operating in the USA, Canada and Europe. We supply a wide variety of metals to the maintenance industry, machines shops, fabricators, manufacturers and hobbyists. The main objective of this position is to help customers determine what material is needed for their projects and prepare cost quotations. Metal knowledge is key, as is a friendly, positive personality. The successful candidate will have strong math and computer skills, some basic sales experience, and be able to read a tape measure.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Provide consistent, superior service by ensuring that all customer needs are recognized and serviced, and satisfaction is highly maintained at all times.

•Support the achievement of sales/budget targets, which includes attention to maintaining stock control, gross margins and managing cost budgets.

•Prepare customer orders based on material and size specifications.

•Prepare material for shipment by truck, courier or customer pickup.

•Receive, identify and stock incoming materials as per Receiving Procedures. These inventory responsibilities include identifying inventory needs.

•Pick up materials at suppliers when needed.

•Deliver materials to customers when needed.

•Perform other duties as directed by Store Manager/Sr. Customer Service Rep.

DESIREABLE ATTRIBUTES:
•Confident and professional telephone manners

•Knowledge of metal types A MUST

Experience working in fast-paced sales environments such as McDonald's would be helpful

•Experience in driving fork lifts

•Multi-lingual (nice to have but not required)

•Ability to use the internet to research information to support job function

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

Compensation package:

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
