METAL PROCESSING INTERNATIONAL is Hiring a Quality Inspector/Auditor Near Mission, TX

Job Title: Quality Inspector / Auditor.
Location: Metal Processing International.
Employment Type: Full Time 5 AM - 1:30 PM.
Reports to: Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager.

The Quality Control Auditor oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Established inspection protocols, define sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage team quality assurance analysts providing software configuration.
  • Monitor all plant GMP’s.
  • Ensure accuracy throughout operations by performing quarterly ISO internal audits.
  • Maintain SPC documentation.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure operations conform to production and ISO processing standards.
  • Establish priorities and ensure maximum usage of assigned resources.
  • Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Support production crew leads and supervisors for interpretation and methods following set standards.
  • Inspecting output samples using industry appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality.
  • Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.
  • Reviewing blueprints and specification to compare to produced goods.
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
  • Performs other clerical duties.

  • Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up and push up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, climb, move hands and arms to grasp and manipulate objects by pushing and pulling.
  • Tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes Metal Processing International "MPI" to obtain criminal history record information as well as drug testing.
