METAL MART DELIVERY DRIVER

Position Summary:

No touch freight driver for three Metal Mart locations in Colorado, and typical warehouse operations such as receiving, loading, unloading, etc. Candidate must have a clean driving record, current driver's license, submit to random drug screening in compliance with Federal laws, and preferably have 1 years experience with deliveries, freight, or driving. 28' Flat Bed Truck: NO CDL REQUIRED. Candidate will report to Metal Mart #61 in Colorado Springs daily, but will occasionally run in state deliveries for other Colorado Metal Mart stores located in Commerce City & Pueblo West.

Essential Functions:

· Coordinates scheduling, distribution, warehousing activities in accordance with policies and procedures established by the company.

·Ensures all material to be delivered is loaded and secured in compliance with state and local laws.

·Responsible driving and punctual deliveries to customers.

· Maintains good relationship with customers.

· Responsible for staying in compliance with all safety and environmental codes as well as maintaining material and vehicle security.

Pay and Compensation:

· $22/hr with yearly employee performance reviews.

Mental Skills and Abilities:

· Math - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; to calculate variables, formulas, ratio and proportion; to use practical application of algebra, fractions, percentages, and statistics.

· Reading - Ability to read and understand technical journals, manuals, reference books, blueprints, legal documents and financial reports.

· Speaking - Ability to be conversant in the principles and methods of effective and persuasive speaking and discussion; and to participate in panel discussions using clear and distinct speaking voice with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation, and variation in word order.

· Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret a variety of instructions; to plan work and develop procedures; to learn and/or evaluate information in order to make judgments and decisions.

Education/Training:

· High School Diploma.

Experience/Skills:

· Prefer 1-22 years of driving, delivery or freight experience.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Clean driving record.

· Must submit to random drug screening in compliance with Federal laws.

Physical Demands:

· Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

· Balancing - Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.

· Carrying - Supporting the weight of an object with hands and arms and moving from one place to another.

(a) Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.

(b) Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.

(c) The ability to judge distance and space relationships.

(d) The ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Other Requirements:

· Current Driver’s License.

Supervision/Contacts:

· Receives supervision from Store Manager of Metal Mart #61 in Colorado Springs.

· Daily contact with customers; weekly contact with freight lines.

Environment:

· Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes when inside.

Pay and Compensation:

· $22/hr, full benefits, 401k match, and employee stock ownership program.
