Scope of Position:

Working under the general direction of supervisor, performs a wide variety of duties associated with supervising the Electrical Department. Serves as a backup to the Plant Supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knows, understands and uses the appropriate safety equipment.
• Able to clock in and out of direct labor jobs and indirect labor categories.
• Basic understanding of electrical operations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints/dimensional drawings.
• Sizes wires in accordance with NEC requirements.
• Accurately read a tape measure.
• Is trained in overhead crane operations.
• Understands how to safely pick and place units.
• Can accurately cut, bend, connect and attach varied size conduit.
• Properly applies flex conduits.
• Accurately terminates all connections.
• Ensures team members are able to clock in and out of direct labor jobs and indirect labor categories.
• Tracks attendance on manual shop record.
• Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process.
• Develop and maintain solid employee morale and safety awareness.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Adheres to safety and environmental rules.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
