Scope of Position:

 The role of this position is to assist the New Product Development Group, Technical Services Group, and the sales managers in the design, integration, and management of HVAC systems controls. The Controls Engineer will develop new technical sales and analysis tools for enhancing Dallas brands perceived value in the marketplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluation and written response to a “product definition” document prepared by marketing, assessing the technical feasibility of the proposed project.
• Performing all necessary engineering performance calculations
• Development of conceptual drawings and diagrams
• Directing construction of prototypes
• Developing and conducting tests to establish prototype design compliance with known standards and good engineering practice
• Design drafting function in preparation of production drawings
• Directing development of the bills of materials for the new product 
• Design and develop engineering software to interface with Global Shop ERP system
• Design and develop product information software for representatives and customers, including BIM
• Conforms to all Quality and Environmental Management System policies, objectives and obligations.
• Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
