Job Title: Volunteer Development Assistant

Status: Part Time Days, No Weekends! (25 hours per pay period)

Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm

Pay Range: $15/hour

What do I need as a Volunteer Development Assistant with Messiah Lifeways?

• High School diploma or equivalent required

What will I do as a Volunteer Development Assistant with Messiah Lifeways?

• Greets volunteers and welcomes each volunteer to create a positive office atmosphere.
• Maintains the volunteer office and office supplies as needed.
• Maintains the volunteer database and record of hours to ensure accurate records are kept.
• Completes monthly check to ensure all volunteer records are accurate and inactive volunteers are archived appropriately.
• Offers supervision and directs volunteers when needed.
• Offers oversight of daily operations of Messiah Village Gift Shops.
• Assists with volunteer onboarding and orientation for new volunteers when the Volunteer Manager is not available.
• Follows proper procedures and promotes safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environment.
• Creates and provides monthly schedules of volunteers.
• Responds to daily needs of volunteers.
• Recruits substitute volunteers as needed.
• Develops weekly/monthly reports for Gift Shops and sends to appropriate volunteers.
• Collaborates with the Volunteer Manager to plan and organize special Volunteer Appreciation functions.
• Encourages and promotes volunteerism at and throughout all service lines of Messiah Lifeways.
• Works cooperatively and productively with others, including residents, families, and other team members.
• Willingness to work under direction and supervision.
• Confidentiality regarding resident and volunteer information must be maintained in strict confidence, as well as other information pertaining to the business of Messiah Lifeways.
• Additional duties and tasks as requested by the Volunteer Manager.
