What do I need as a Social Worker with Messiah Lifeways?

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in a human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology from an accredited school
• Experience in a long term care setting preferred
• Knowledge of social casework principles and methods
• Adheres to Messiah Lifeways Core Competencies

What will I do as a Social Worker with Messiah Lifeways?

• The Social Worker works with residents in a nursing environment and is responsible for in-house case work and resource coordination. This work would include the resident, the family, and community resources, utilizing the psycho-social dimensions. The Social Services Worker will work closely with the Nursing Team to support resident care and resource needs.
