Job Title: CDL Transportation Assistant

Status: Per Diem

Shift/Hours: Days and/or Evenings Hours with flexible Schedule Options!

Salary: $21/hr

What do I need as a CDL Transportation Assistant with Messiah Lifeways?

• Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Current and valid Class B CDL drivers license
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license with no more than 1 violation within the last 5 years.

What will I do as a Transportation Assistant with Messiah Lifeways?

• Transport residents and/or supplies as requested by means of wheelchair van, van, car or bus
• Learn and apply proper methods of securing wheelchairs for safe transportation of wheelchair-bound residents
• Communicate with a cellular phone so as to have emergency communication when needed
• Keep records of mileage and time for Transportation Coordinator record for billing purposes
• Flexible, and able to transport on off-hours, such as mornings, evenings or weekends
• Follow handwritten directions and/or a map to arrive at the proper destination
• Report mechanical problems and fluid levels (windshield washer, oil, antifreeze, etc.) with vehicles to the Transportation Coordinator in a timely manner to ensure proper repairs
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator and/or Manager
