What You Will Do

As an Operations Technician you’re responsible for helping maintain the equipment, instrumentation and controls of the machinery we use to manufacture and distribute industrial gasses to companies in your area.

This is a critical first role with Messer and a gateway to higher-level, more specialized roles in Instrumentation, Operations or Maintenance.

In this job, you will troubleshoot instruments and control systems, be part of a team of others doing the same work and mentor new employees learning the work.

This job requires that you follow written instructions and safety procedures, communicate with team members, learn know when to elevate any concerns to managers, and careful, regular documentation your work in our systems.

Like everyone at the plant, your work will support the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality programs that allow us to work efficiently and safely.

What You You Need to Succeed:

• 3 years of relevant experience in a related process plant operations, maintenance, or reliability activity.
• Certified to ISA Level 1 to qualify for instrumentation skills requirement.
• Certificate in a technical discipline, two-year related degree or recent military training in a technical field will be considered in lieu of ISA Level 1 certification.
• The job requirement is to obtain your ISA Level 1 certification within two years of hire date.
