The Law Firm of Meshbesher & Spence seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal with 2 years current experience to join our Mass Torts team. Ideal candidates must be familiar with all aspects of mass torts litigation and product liability. Meshbesher & Spence is seeking a paralegal with trial experience who enjoys the high pace of practice for trials in Minnesota and potentially across the country. This position requires the ability to handle a case from discovery through trial, if necessary. The right candidate with experience as a paralegal in other fields will be considered.
Successful Candidates will have the following characteristics:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Good communication skills
- Experience communicating with clients
- Ability to multitask and have great attention to detail
- Efficient with Microsoft Office applications and case management software
- Works well independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Maintains a professional attitude.
Duties may include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing and filing court documents
- Organizing, updating, and archiving documents and related notes into electronic case management system.
- Acting as Liaison among all required parties including courts, and other organization for scheduling and information sharing.
- Talking to clients and drafting update letters
- Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, or appeals, etc. for use by attorney.
