Description
The primary responsibility is to keep a Materials Management inventory of supplies and equipment to meet routine and emergency needs in all areas of the hospital.
process supplies requisitions received from departments; processes purchase orders, requisitions and accompanying invoices for payment.
Accepts deliveries and reviews orders received for accuracy and condition of merchandise; performs liaison between departments and service representatives.
Maintains computerized stores inventory records, which includes tabulating and recording data on inventory costs and supply levels to ensure an accurate and cost efficient inventory of supplies.
This person is responsible for keeping stock of all items needed for quality patient care. This involves stocking shelves, restocking of supply as needed, and filing of department material requests.
Routinely interprets the Mesa View Regional Hospital; seeks new vendors who may qualify to do business with Mesa View Regional Hospital and identifies vendors for purchases.
And understand that materials "Goes above and beyond the customer service experience". All other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Current and valid drivers license.
Four years experience in ordering, storage and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. Two years as purchasing agent or buyer experience.
Ability to judge quantity of supplies required for storeroom inventories, operation and order accordingly. Ability to work cooperatively with all hospital staff and physicians.
