The Facilities Maintenance Technician II that supports the SDC business has responsibility for a variety of jobs necessary for the operation of the facility, including but not limited to HVAC, steam boilers, autoclaves, air compressors and various other types of equipment. In addition to the maintenance of equipment, the Maintenance Technician II is also responsible for general facility upkeep.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
  • Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment.
  • Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC and other physical structures.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical system in accordance with SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer’s specification, and safety policies.
  • Develop methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Using research, analytical, conceptual, planning skills, and particularly mathematical modeling to drive improvements in equipment performance
  • Adopt and promote a high energy culture that stresses close communication and teamwork among all departments.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Education:

  • High School graduation or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • 3rd Class Boiler Operator license preferred or must be obtain within 1st year
  • Electrical experience preferred

Compensation/Benefits:

Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.

The Salary Range for this position is $23/hr - $25/hr.
