    Job Summary:
    This role works to support the alignment of systems with teachers and students as they apply Advanced Learning Plan goals to result in student growth. Employee brings a high level of understanding to effective gifted educational practices working collaboratively with school staff and leaders.
    Operating under the general direction of the Gifted Director, this position functions as a District representative working to advocate for and support the growth of students identified or with the potential to be identified gifted. This role works as a liaison between the district Gifted Education Department and students, families, and school staff to adopt and implement programming outlined by state and national best practices for our gifted students. GT Teachers are the case manager for students identified GT, resident expert for their assigned school’s GT ID process, and help develop programming to support identified and potential GT students.
    • A resident expert of the GT ID process knows and understands the current state rules on identification and sets up a system at their school to support this process.
    • Supporting gifted and potentially gifted students includes understanding and use of school, district, and community resources. Develop a collaborative network of connections to support behavior and academic growth for students. This requires ongoing research and skill-building to bring innovative solutions and effective methods.
    In addition, this position has an expectation to participate in, produce, and maintain student data, Advanced Learning Plans, GT Referrals, and assessments, and will submit all reporting according to grantor requirements.
    Qualifications:
    Must have or be eligible for Colorado Teaching License; preferably with GT endorsement
    Minimum of three years experience as GT Teacher
    Working Conditions:
    199 days/year

    Salary & Benefits:
    Teacher Base Pay Salary Schedule Range:

    Hiring Range for External Candidates:
    $46,743 - $80,240
    • Teachers are initially placed according to experience. Teachers new to the District may be granted up to 15 years of experience, provided the experience occurred within the last 20 years in accordance with the MVEA Agreement.
