As a server at Merriman’s must be an experienced, passionate and dedicated guest experience ambassador. We look at the server position as the pinnacle of our Guest Experience team. You are required to have extensive knowledge of menu, wine and fine dining steps of service. A server at Merriman’s must be able to consistently fulfill our vision of being the Best Guest Experience Company in the World, by making connections and providing exceptional service for each guest every night. We are built on a foundation of local food products, and extensive knowledge of the local products, local farms and farmers is essential.

Essential Functions - What will I be doing?

As a Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the restaurant's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Ensure extensive knowledge of food, menu and restaurant promotions and specials

Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system

Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner

Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

Side work duties; upkeep of the restaurant

• Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

What are we looking for?

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays

Passion for food, wine, beverage and our restaurant concept

Extensive knowledge of local products such as produce and seafood, farms, and farmers

Ability to present and converse the menu, restaurant concept, and memorize daily specials in an eloquentmanor as well as delivering the highest standards of service in a busy and fast paced environment whiledemonstrating compassion and creating exceptional customer relations

Basic knowledge of common food allergies and dietary preferences

Extensive knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beverages including grape varietals, wine regions of theworld, and wine and food pairing

Physical Requirements

Ability to continuously walk and or stand, move up and down stairs and transport items (such asglassware, and dishes, beverages) weighing up to 50 lbs. continuously, and also lift items above theshoulders throughout the duration of a possible 8-hour shift on a regular basis

Able to work in all inclement weather such as in the sun, wind and or rain

Willingness to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available)
