Our Lead Housekeepers:

Supervisory:

• Report any damage or problems with the units and room equipment using a Maintenance work order and routing the work order to the Maintenance department.
• Interact with the residents in a friendly, positive manner see to a solution to their needs and a solution to any of their problems.
• Act as a liaison between the residents and the housekeepers.
• Responsible for keeping the total weekly work hours within the required budget.
• Supervise and manage housekeepers in their housekeeping duties including:
• Conducting weekly housekeeping staff/training meetings,
• Collect and review the housekeepers’ assignment sheets and confirming the room status.
• Scheduling to meet daily and weekly cleaning requirements, and
• Confirm work schedule with the housekeepers.
• Controls and allocates the spending of the annual housekeeping budget.
• Conducts a monthly inventory of all supplies.
• Attends weekly department staff meetings.

Miscellaneous:

• Coordinate housekeeping services with other departments.
• Listen and respond to residents’ queries and requests.
• Ensure equipment and supply carts are properly maintained and properly stored and that storage areas are kept clean and safe.
• Follow community fire safety and infection control practices and promptly report any unsafe conditions, unsafe equipment, or maintenance issues.
• Utilize cleaning chemicals properly and safely in accordance with product instructions and department guidelines.
• Maintain a positive demeanor towards residents and guests, respecting individual confidentiality, dignity and rights.
