Job Description:

Work Performed (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

  • Perform product inspection and testing for WIP (Work-In-Progress) and FG (Finished Goods).
  • Generate Quality inspection reports documentation.
  • Support calibrations of equipment and tools.
  • Support Production personnel for any quality matter.
  • Address quality opportunities within Quality and Production.
  • Performs Product and Process Audits.
  • Generate reports from audits and follow up on audit findings.
  • Collaborates with Quality manager and personnel to develop inspection programs to enhance quality product and processes.
  • Ensures material, product, and manufacturing process meet company and customer requirements.
  • Performs material testing; aluminum billets, and products.
  • Generates, records, and analyzes mechanical and chemical reports.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, harness, yield, tensile, tress test, etc.
  • Assist in the resolution of problems.
  • Supports and implements corrective actions for continual improvement.
  • Reads and understands blue prints.
  • Must possess the working ability to use precision measuring equipment and tools; calipers, micrometers, etc.

This job may require the physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting. Continuous lifting to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, and use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.

Position Requirements /Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years of working experience in Quality Control and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Possess at least a high school diploma or G.E.D./State Equivalent.
  • Working experience in metal production, specifically aluminum, is preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using computers and Microsoft Office.
  • ‘Can do’ attitude, he/she has attention to detail and works well with others.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Follows company Quality Management System and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, new quality control techniques and methods.

Training:

  • Proper PPE use (safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.)
  • Safety Rules and practices
  • On the Job Training:
  • EPIC knowledge and understanding of the applicable functions.
  • Metal production processes
  • SharePoint

Minimum Requirements:

  • Manufacturing and/or production experience preferred.
  • Strong problem and analytical skills.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Lab equipment tests and inspections
  • Drawing and technical specifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour, possibly more, determined after Job Site Interview
