Loan Officer (Business Loans/Investments)

Responsible for assisting loan/investment applicants navigate the approval and closing process. Duties include determining the financing product, structure, terms, applicant’s credit worthiness, financing risks and recommend approval or declination of the request. Due to the nature of our clients, it is expected that you will advise, counsel, and assist them whenever possible. Required to prepare and make presentation of financing recommendations to loan committees. Adhere to company policy guidelines and providing any necessary reports.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Recommending financing applicants requests according to company guidelines

• Collect, review, and analyze an applicant’s relevant history and records

• Analyze applicant’s documents including financial statements

• Obtain additional information about an applicant to determine and validate an applicant’s credit worthiness

• Supervision of junior staff

• Identify the level of risk of the loan/investment

• Preparing in-depth financing recommendations and presentations to loan committees

Skills and Qualifications: Detail oriented

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or finance prefer

• Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills

• Good writing skills

• Three years of experience in financing businesses
