Molecular Technologist
Molecular Technologist (MT) will participate in laboratory daily operations, QA/QC program, and molecular microbiology process validation. This position will also require molecular analysis and data review of patient urine samples, including but not limited to assays such as:
DNA sequencing, and real-time PCR.
Additional laboratory duties for this position includes keep accountability of UTI
Molecular supplies and order supplies as needed, perform QC to equipment, controls, and reagents, perform data analysis, interpret assay results, participate from molecular microbiology process and equipment validation, as well reagent lot validation and inventory management. Experience reviewing data and releasing reports is required.
The MT will also ensure compliance for proper maintenance and management of laboratory records and promote a safety laboratory culture. This position could assign various laboratory molecular projects. The laboratory operates in compliance with CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) standards and inspected by the COLA (Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation). As such, the candidate should have knowledge and experience of the requirements for working in a clinical laboratory environment and be certified by ASCP or AMT as MLS/MLT.

Education requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology,
Clinical Sciences, or any other degree associated with clinical/medical laboratory
Certification requirements: MLS/MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB.
