What’s the job?

Mergon UK currently has a vacancy for a Lean Manufacturing & Quality Engineer and to join their growing team

The Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer will support the Management team in realizing continuous improvement projects 
Key responsibilities will include 

  • Supporting the Management team in identifying opportunities for improvement 
  • Carrying out benchmarking both within the Group and externally and implementing best practices in areas of manufacturing engineering
  • Leading continuous improvement projects with a cross functional team 
  • Championing a structured approach to problem solving using lean tools 
  • Designing manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts 
  • Provide training on continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Facilitating root-cause analysis to address identified losses and KPI scorecard gaps
  • Establishing new work standards to sustain improvements

What we're looking for 

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferable)
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles, practices, and tools
  • Proficiency in using computer software, such as MS Office, ERP, CAD, etc.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for continuous improvement and innovation
