Overview:

• The senior scheduler is reponsible for scheduling surgical and other major diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• This includes coordinating with off-site surgical facilities, preparing records and films for the case, communicating preoperative instructions to the patient and family, and scheduling preoperative testing.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: None.
• Experience: One year of surgical/medical office experience.
• Other: Medical terminology. Computer skills. Telephone etiquette. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
