Mercy is Hiring a Quality Management Coordinator (Non-Exempt) Near Fort Smith, AR

Mercy Ft Smith -$162 million expansion of its ER and ICU. ER will expand from 29 to 50 rooms and ICU will increase from 38-64 rooms. The ER expansion alone will allow for about 25,000 more patient visits per year. It will allow us to expand the services that we provide, which will allow patients to stay in Ft Smith for the care they need. This expansion will allow us to better meet the needs of our community in a world-class environment.
Overview:
Responsible and accountable for planning, organizing and implementing staff development program; orientation, inservice, continuing education, and performance improvement activities. Works independently with delegated authority and responsibility from the Director for specific clinical and educational management, development of performance plan and implementation, and maintenance of quality standards of nursing care. In collaboration with division Clinical and Support Services Managers, is responsible for clinical supervision of staff, standards of practice and credentialing needs of the division's patient care units.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Required Experience: Three to five years per-operative experience in a tertiary care facility; multi-specialty operating room, post-anesthesia care unit or ambulatory surgery center required
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
