Overview:

Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers.• Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid• Maintains order in swimming areas. Inspects facilities for cleanliness• May determine chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit• May give swimming instructions• Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization 

Qualifications:

• Required:Licenses/Certifications: Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED within 60 days.Additional Licenses and Certifications: Lifeguard Certification within 60 Days.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to read, write and speak English.
