Overview:

This individual is responsible to food production in all areas of the department. A knowledge of all methods of cookery is required for this position. The individual must be able to produce a quality, eye appealing product within an allotted amount of time. Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
    • Jefferson: Food Handlers within 90 days of hire.
    • Springfield: Food Handers within 90 days of hire.
  • Other: Skills, knowledge and abilities:
    • Excellent integrity
    • Takes initiative
    • Good moral character.
    • Basic Math Skills
    • Time Management Skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
  • Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
    • Equipment Used: All food preparation equipment including oven, grill, chopper, slicer, blender, mixer, and steamer
    • Also able to push, pull and grip 50 pounds and pinch 10 pounds.
  • Preferred Education: High school diploma or its equivalent.
