Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP)
at Mercy South
This position covers education for Labor and Delivery as well as Postpartum and Well Baby service lines
Typical schedule:
Monday - Friday
Overview:
Serves to support orientation, competency programs, in-service education, continuing education, academic partnerships, career development and role transition at the Unit level for Mercy coworkers.
Qualifications:

• Minimum Required:
  • BSN/Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required or enrolled within 6 months of hire. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Current appropriate state license if required in discipline.
  • AHA BLS provider.
  • Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care.
  • Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of equipment/technology used in delivery of patient care
• Preferred:
  • EXPERIENCE:
    • 2 years bedside obstetrical nursing - Labor and Delivery preferred
  • Certified or progress toward certification in a specialty related to responsibilities (if available in discipline) preferred.
  • 2 years teaching experience
  • Additional life support certifications as required by specialty (ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TNCC and/or ENPC)
