Overview:
The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining a bereavement program to meet the needs of the families/caregivers of Hospice patients for up to thirteen months following the death of the patient. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Experience: Minimum one-year experience working with a bereaved population preferred.
• Other: Knowledge of and commitment to the Hospice Philosophy. Understanding of grief response. Has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates ability to be open, sensitive, flexible and ecumenical.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Preferred Experience: Hospice experience preferred.
