Mercy Ridge is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Assisted Living department. We are currently recruiting for part time and full time positions. The position requires flexibility in scheduling (day/evening/night shifts and weekends). The incumbent will ensure that the highest quality of nursing care is provided to residents on the Assisted Living unit; and respond to Independent Living resident calls as the Wellness Nurse. Candidate must have prior Assisted Living experience; possess a current Maryland LPN license and a current CPR certification. 

Essential Functions:

1. Use nursing processes and plans to implement individualized nursing care as needed.
2. Manage routine and emergency care in accordance with departmental policies and procedures (care is in a structured setting and the scope of care varies shift by shift).
3. Prioritize, plan, and provide direct resident care including the physical and psychological care of residents during assigned shifts. Resident care may include lifting, positioning or transferring patients that require physical assistance.
4. Communicate appropriate information to the healthcare team members, patients, and families as authorized by the Resident Care Manager and/or Administrator of Assisted Living.
5. Provide direction for personnel assigned to work with residents (ex. Resident Assistants and/or Activity Assistants).
