Mercy Medical Center is Hiring a Network Engineer Near Baltimore, MD
The Unified Communications Engineer will support an enterprise level Unified Communications Solution and enterprise network. Responsibilities include supporting both telecommunication and network design, implementation, and support.
Qualifications:- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Information Technology, with an emphasis on Networking or Unified Communications
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must have the ability to maintain the confidentiality of information, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical, reasoning, organization, time management and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of all UCC Communications Protocols including SIP,H.264, and H.323
- Understanding of all UC building blocks: Device Pools, Extension Mobility, Music on Hold (MOH), Dial-peers, Route Lists/Groups, Hunt Groups, and Translation Patters.
- Good understanding of Network technologies (including LAN, WAN, WLAN) and their relationship with the Unified Communication solutions
- Must be able to configure and support network switches, routers, and voice gateways
- Maintain proper documentation of systems configurations.
- Share in providing on-call technical support after hours and on weekends as needed.
- Must be able to travel to offsite locations
- Must be willing to learn new products and skills
