ResponsibilitiesThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of ultrasound equipment for the purpose of performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for daily operations of the ultrasound department including managing the patient schedule that includes inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for producing high quality images of the area of interest based on the available clinical information and the physician order. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for daily equipment monitoring for performance and initiating calls for service when equipment issues are identified. The Ultrasound Technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics and is self-motivated to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of disease processes, and new procedures as they evolve. The Ultrasound Technologist should be able to perform their job functions independently, with minimal need for oversite and or correction by leadership. On call services are required.
