Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Professional, Biomarker Operations to support invoicing and purchase order generation for Translational Medicine within our Company’s Research Laboratories. This position will report to the Associate Principal Scientist, Biomarker Operations Vendor Manager and be based at the West Point, PA or Rahway, NJ site.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated success in forming strong networks and working in a highly collaborative environment, including working closely with appropriate subject matter experts, cross-functional partners and translational medicine colleagues. You will excel under fast-paced and fluid conditions and demonstrate initiative, flexibility, diplomacy, and good judgement. You will maintain confidentiality and deliver results efficiently and accurately. This is an ideal position for candidate who values a team environment and who wants to gain exposure and experience in clinical trial related invoicing operations and project management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Initiate, process and track purchase orders
  • Point of contact for vendor invoices
  • Obtain approvals for invoices received
  • Support invoice discrepancy resolution and tracking of actuals
  • Perform documentation, tracking and other job administrative duties, as necessary (e.g., metrics, archiving, data entry/recording, metrics reports, etc.)
  • Author and/or update relevant Job Aides
  • Participate or lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain training and compliance requirements
  • Resolve stakeholder issues

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Procurement, Finance, Quality Assurance/Compliance or related Business Operations

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Procurement, Finance, Quality Assurance/Compliance, or related Business Operations

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills using MS tools including Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams
  • Possesses the following:
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
    • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
    • Detail-oriented and organization skills
    • Ability to quickly learn and complete tasks independently after training

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Advanced education or certifications (e.g. Project Management Certification)
  • SAP (or equivalent) experience strongly preferred
  • Purchase Orders and invoices
  • Formal Project Management experience

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$83,100.00 - $130,900.00
