Work with the garage team in repairing and maintaining the MDI fleet of diesel trucks and trailers.
Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11pm

- Perform basic inspection (check fluids, lights, brakes, etc)
- Perform preventive maintenance on cars, trucks, trailers and other equipment
- Fuel company equipment.
- Record and enter maintenance and parts information into the computer.
- Work in a safe manner adhering to all MDI, state and federal safety rules
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, lift, read, write and lift up to and including 100 lbs.
- Operate trailer yard spotter.
- May be required to perform other tasks as necessary.
- Change truck and trailer tires as needed.
- Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense.
- 3-5 years of hands-on repair and diagnosis experience
- ASE certifications preferred in: Suspension/Steering, Air brake, Diesel/Gasoline, Transmission/Differential; must obtain brake certification within 2 years of hire
- Experience in transmission/differential repair
- Intermediate computer skills with diagnosis programs preferred
- Experience with Mack/Detroit engines
- Basic welding skills
- Air conditioning certified- multiple acceptable programs for certification
- Transmission/ Differential experience
- Computer literate with Dossier and some OEM engine diagnosis programs
- Minor hands-on welding experience
- Work towards Master ASE Certification
