Agency Licensing Assistant – West Des Moines, IA

The Agency Licensing Assistant works on a team to perform and complete all basic aspects of agent contracting and appointment processing in compliance with state insurance regulatory requirements and Company guidelines. This position is also responsible for providing customer service and resolve issues with producers and internal underwriting departments.

Primary duties for the Agency Licensing Assistant include:

• Reviews new agency applications for completeness and accuracy, orders background investigations, and obtains required approvals.
• Prepares agency/producer contracts, uses DocuSign to obtain required signatures, and follow up to verify receipt of complete contracts.
• Maintains agency/producer appointment termination data for all states utilizing producer data sources in alignment with state regulatory requirements.
• Prepares and maintains agency power of attorney documents and manages Company seals in compliance with Company guidelines.
• Manages all aspects of secure website access for agency/producer web users.
• Verifies agencies/producers are appropriately licensed and appointed for each state in which business is written.
• Provides customer service to producers, their staff, and internal associates relating to agency contracting and appointment.
• Provides back up to other Agency Licensing Assistants when needed.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related work experience in customer service or administration. Previous experience in a producer/agent licensing/administration role is highly desired. Must be detail oriented and possess strong detail, communication and organizational skills.

Experience with or ability to learn Sircon applications, work within multiple systems and monitors, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are required.
