Description
As the Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of a publicly traded financial institution. As a key executive team member, the CFO is focused on financial planning and reporting, determining and supporting strategy, managing risk, and complying with regulations. The CFO works with all areas of the Company to provide guidance on financial matters and oversee the achievement of established financial and operational goals.   • Lead the managerial, financial, SEC, and regulatory reporting processes.
  • Oversee internal financial reporting and work with business unit leaders to address financial-related matters.
  • Monitor and forecast capital ratios and execute on capital raises.
  • Apply appropriate accounting treatment to transactions such as securitizations and derivatives.
  • Assure the accuracy of the fair value of assets including mortgage servicing rights.
  • Assure the accuracy of the allowance for credit losses ("ACL").
  • Oversee treasury activities, including interest rate risk and liquidity management.
  • Oversee accounting functions including reconciliations, month-end close, accounts payable, fixed assets, and financial control processes.
  • Oversee the annual budget in coordination with the strategic plan.
  • Responsible for all tax-related functions and compliance.
  • Oversee internal control environment including SOX compliance.
  • Oversee financial planning and analysis including forecasting, and department and product profitability. Identify cost efficiencies and monitor progress.
  • Liaison with outside auditors for all external audit matters.
  • Present financial information to Executive Management, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Liaison with regulatory examiners including the Federal Reserve, FDIC, and Indiana Department of Financial Institutions related to financial matters.

Requirements
What we are looking for...
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA and/or MBA.
  • Ten-plus years working in a financial leadership capacity in a financial institution or independent mortgage banker. SEC and mortgage industry experience is preferred.
  • Proven sustained success in previous high-level management and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in discerning market forces and developing appropriate, profitable business strategies.
  • Proven expertise in banking regulations and related banking operations with demonstrated success in balancing operational efficiency and regulatory expectations.
  • Successful experience managing corporate governance matters and communicating relevant information with boards of directors and shareholders.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and leadership skills.
