Family Law Attorney- In-Person Position (No remote work)

Our family law office is growing and we are looking for an attorney that works diligently to represent our clients. The prime candidate will work seamlessly and effectively with their paralegal in an effort to serve our clients. Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective communication with potential clients and with current clients.
• Appear in court and settlement conferences on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings.
• Must be able to perform legal research as needed.
• Draft legal pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs, as well as respond to correspondence.
• Supervise legal work of paralegals and/or law clerk.
• Meet statutory deadlines for cases.
• Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution.
• Minimum weekly billing requirement: 30 hours

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Must be a member of the California Bar Association and in good standing.
• Prior experience in Family Law litigation and/or Civil litigation is preferred.
• Able to work independently while handling multiple files
• Well-versed in legal research software (Lexis Nexis) and the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
• Decision-making, Court presence, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
• Able to work independently while servicing a high-volume caseload
• Stay current on California Family Law legislation and appellate decisions
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus but not required

• LawYaw
• E-Filing
• Microsoft Office
• Microsoft Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
