We are currently seeking a Full-time Activity’s Assistant to support our Nursing Center. This position will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Life Enrichment to plan and implement the programs within the Life Enrichment Department.

Requirements:

Must possess current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through the state of Florida
Must possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Must be comfortable working with the elderly and be willing to work evenings and/or weekends, as needed.
Previous Activities experience in skilled nursing facility is preferred.
Teaching or special needs background is helpful.

Desired Abilities, Traits & Skills:

Understanding physiological, psychological, emotional & social development of aged adults
Ability to follow direction & work effectively in a team setting
Ideal candidate would have ability to play the piano.
Good organizational skills
Implement a variety of therapeutic activities
Demonstrate good judgement & tact
Positive relationships w/staff, residents, volunteers & family members
Adapt to changing work conditions
Artistic or musical abilities is extremely helpful!!!
