Mennonite Home Communities is Hiring a Dining Aide Near Lancaster, PA

$16.00 per hour starting, includes a $2.00 shift differential per hour!

CURRENT OPENINGS:

*Full-time: 6:00AM-2:30PM or 11:00AM-7:30PM

-Part-time: 3:30PM-7:30PM 

-Positions include an every other weekend & holiday rotation. 

The Dining Aide functions as a member of the household kitchen which involves maintainingquality food and service standards to meet the nutritional needs of theresidents. They are also responsible for the overall cleanliness of thekitchens and dining rooms. This position will be performed in accordance withMennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. 

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Basiccomputer skills required.
  • Previousexperience in a skilled nursing or retirement facility preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • Preparesand serves high quality food according to standards and regulations. Honors Residentsspecial nutritional needs, diets, and preferences. Is knowledgeable of allmenus, modifications, and descriptions.
  • Assiststhe household staff with mealtime service. Ensures smooth and timely fooddelivery.
  • Correctlystores and orders household china, food, and paper supplies.
  • Keepskitchen areas clean and organized. Follows sanitation procedures to preservefood quality and prevent transmission of food-borne illnesses.
  • Properlycleans and operates all kitchen equipment.
  • Properlydocuments food and equipment temperatures.
