Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist the veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Duties:
- Perform various medical procedures under the supervision of veterinarians, including animal catheterization, wound care, and administering medications
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and recovery
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring for hospitalized animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including medication administration and grooming techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
- Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
- Proficient in veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Knowledge of animal care, handling, and restraint techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members

Skills:
- Equine experience is a plus
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is beneficial
- Proficient in animal catheterization and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
