Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees, including calculating wages, overtime, and deductions
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and changes
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data in payroll system
- Generate reports on payroll expenses, tax withholdings, and other related information
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, such as W-2 preparation

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and accounting principles
- Proficiency in using payroll software such as ADP, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, etc.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Understanding of governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
