Your primary focus will be on developing engaging, mobile-first content for both our hourly staff and management teams. KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with VP of Training and Development to understand training needs, identify content gaps, and refine existing materials for greater efficiency and impactContent would primarily include Hospitality, Production, Management training in addition to select compliance training that aligns with Mendo’s culture and ethosDesign and implement engaging training programs, both digital and in-person, for team members at all levelsWork will focus primarily on hospitality, production, manager, menu, and compliance training. Mendo is always improving to meet a robust growth calendar, so moving all training design forward through modernization, visual excitement, and microlearning segments is desiredSpecialize in simple gamification techniques to create interactive and enjoyable eLearning experiences.Assist in the creation and rollout of new menu items, including writing, editing, and video productionWith leadership, conduct training analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs and recommend improvementsHelp the team strategize and determine the best short- and long-term approach for a transition to more microlearning and a mobile first approach, understanding the state of training is always evolving COMPETITIVE PAYAll Mendo Base Camp members are paid on a bi-weekly basis QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field preferred2 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in the restaurant or service industryExperience in restaurants, retail or convenience stores preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Proficient in mobile-first design approachesComfortable using eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Canva, etc.) and Open to seeing and discovering which tools serve Mendo the bestSolid grasp on leveraging latest AI tools for creation and collaborationFamiliarity with video editing software is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to influence and interact with all levels of management and team members while maintaining collaborative partnershipsAbout Mendo:We were founded with the vision to offer so much more than food, and since 2005, we’ve never let the spark of happiness go out.
