Men's Health Medical Care is Hiring a Bilingual Medical Assistant with Experience in Blood Drawing. Near Miami, FL

Men's Health Medical Care is currently looking for a Bilingual Medical Assistant with experience in Blood Drawing.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Measures and records vital signs; records patient interview, history, and chief complaint.
  • Assumes responsibilities for self-development by continually striving to improve his/her knowledge through educational programs, attendance to workshops and conferences to keep all certifications up to date.
  • Ensures that all HIPAA/OSHA standards are in compliance
  • Prepares patients for examinations and performs routine screening tests; assists physician with exams; explain treatment procedures and physicians' instructions to patient.
  • Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens; performs basic waived lab tests.
  • Processes patient phone messages, returning calls and routing them to other team members as appropriate; calls patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Must have High school diploma or College Degree.

Phone Etiquette
Must hold a medical assistant certification from an accredited organization.
Experience in blood drawing. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Prior experience in a clinical setting (At least 2 year experience preferred).
MS Office programs experience.

Skills:
Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to work with individuals within and outside the organization, in professional and courteous manner.
Must develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Strong ability to use independent judgment and initiative.
Organized and able to manage competing priorities.
