Pay Range: $29.00/hour

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

1. Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform all aspects of GI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
2. Prioritizes workload.
3. Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical information system and applies principles to patient documentation within their scope of practice.
4. Contributes to an effective and safe working environment.
5. Assists in training of new staff.
6. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial and other sensitive material in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and or employees.
7. Demonstrates the ability to use good customer service skills by managing and acknowledging patient-family-significant other expectations.
8. Demonstrates tact, sensitivity and discretion.
9. Demonstrates the ability to integrate knowledge of job specific competencies.
10. Ability to be at work and be on time
11. Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives

**Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications - External

Minimum requirements:

Experience

List the minimum experience, skills, knowledge and abilities required to do the job.

• Minimum of (1) one year experience in an acute or outpatient setting as a GI Tech preferred.
• Proficient in assisting with Endoscopic Procedures required.
• Completion of GI tech program preferred
• ERCP trained/assist preferred
• Computer, internet, order entry and word processing experience preferred
• Proficient in medical terminology required

Education

List the education licensures or certifications preferred or required to do the job.

• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers card required
• GI tech certification or equivalent preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
