Job Description

We are seeking a Total Rewards/Compensation Analyst to support our growing Total Rewards team. This position contributes to the overall success of MSK by ensuring competitive and compelling compensation and benefits packages for our employees. Responsibilities include analysis and reporting of compensation and benefits plans, vendor management, project management and implementation. The role requires close collaboration with Compensation & Benefits colleagues in a cross-functional team, with staff in divisional areas, HRIS, Finance, and Payroll, and with multiple outside vendors and consultants.

You will:

    Provide compensation consulting throughout MSK to identify, create, and implement compensation strategies that best meet their needs.
  • Educate clients and HR colleagues on salary recommendation guidelines, FLSA designation, job-specific incentive plans, job evaluation process, and other compensation matters.
  • Identify appropriate market comparison (i.e., healthcare vs. general industry) based on job descriptions, and discussions with clients and HR colleagues (i.e., talent acquisition).
  • Evaluate the competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of current employee benefit programs including health, dental, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
  • Independently oversee small to medium-sized projects that require participation from multiple department leaders.
  • Apply knowledge of database queries, spreadsheet formulas, and statistical software to develop and prepare various reports and analyses.
  • Work with external vendors and internal partners (e.g., HRIS) to evaluate and set up new plans and/or plan provisions.

You are:

  • Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Resourceful, securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.

You need:

  • 2-4 years experience in Compensation; benefits analysis experience (preferred).
  • Strong data and analytic skills are essential.
  • Workday benefits experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Compensation Market Study Tools, MS Office (particularly Excel), & Financial Management tools like COGNOS and Strata.

This position will have a hybrid schedule with some days on-site in Manhattan.
