Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and transformational leader to join our team. You will work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a training program curriculum for Environmental Services frontline staff, Waste Management staff, and supervisors, including new hire training, continuing education, and systems training. You will have oversight of training and certification classes and plan for and direct audits to ensure compliance with institutional, departmental, and regulatory requirements.

You Will:

    Develop an annual training plan for departmental staff as well as evaluation tools to monitor results to identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Institution to assess, plan, and implement training/certification initiatives.
  • Utilize audit reports, quality assurance results, survey results, and other objective tools to identify training and orientation needs.
  • Create online presentations and handouts that are clear, concise, and visually pleasing.
  • Coordinate the preparation of staff for external audit visits (e.g., Joint Commission) by developing a preparation plan and managing its execution.
  • Develop project plans to include the design, development, and implementation of performance improvement solutions ensuring all projects are completed within established timeframes and under budget.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the industry.
  • Work on various institutional projects such as the rollout of new systems.
  • Provide daily leadership, supervision, and performance management and support professional development.
  • Act as Environmental Services Operations Manager when needed.

You Have:

  • Strong professional experience in instructional design, creating educational modules, utilizing adult learning theories, and/or delivering training for professionals.
  • Prior experience in Environmental Services.
  • Superb written and verbal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Superb relationship-building skills
  • The capability and expertise to mentor others
