This is a fulltime position, Monday-Friday 5:00pm-1:30am
The Housekeepers at MHCC clean walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the hospital to maintain an aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Cleans, waxes, extracts, and maintains floors, carpeting, and stairwells and assists with heavy cleaning throughout the hospital. Performs general laundry and linen functions which may include operation of washers and dryers, stocking linen carts, delivery of clean linen and collection of soiled linen. This position involves, lifting, bending, vacuuming and garbage removal.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift, push and pull housekeeping equipment. Good customer service skills, willing to work with patients and their families.
