Memorial Florists and Greenhouses, Inc. is looking to hire energetic, friendly, and reliable employees for our water truck team! This is a part time/seasonal opportunity. We are seeking highly motivated self-starters, who want to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ideal candidates are customer-focused, team-oriented, and extremely reliable.

Primary Duties:

• Water annual and perennial beds and planters
• Perform plant maintenance
• Assist customers and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
• Develop, maintain and demonstrate knowledge of current MFG products and services
• Must be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Peak business periods will require extended work days and weeks.
• Responsible for continuous improvement in all aspects of watering operations
• All other duties as assigned

Supervision:

• Train under the direct supervision of president
• This position does not supervise other personnel

Qualifications:

• Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to read, write and count in order to execute written orders
• Demonstrated knowledge of the care of floral plants and flowers
• An agreeable personality with a desire to work in a highly team oriented, flexible, and collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills with a “can do” attitude
• Ability to execute tasks independently with little or no supervision
• Familiarity with MS Office software and strong computer skills
• Excellent attendance record
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Physical Requirements:

• Able to bend, squat, crouch, kneel, sit and stand
• Able to raise arms overhead
• Able to walk regularly, including climbing steps and also occasionally climbing on a ladder
• Able to lift, carry or otherwise up to 50 pounds in order to position plants, merchandise and create/maintain displays
• Able to work in outdoor weather conditions
