Job Title: Construction Safety Officer

Job Summary:

The Construction Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations are followed on the job site. This includes conducting regular safety inspections, providing safety training, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety legislation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes and a proven track record of implementing effective safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on the construction site.
• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and orientation to new employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Prepare and submit safety reports and documentation as required.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure safety compliance.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all site personnel.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and first aid procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have OSHA 30 or greater for this position

Pay:

Pay is based on experience up to $45/hr.
