Position Summary:
The Mechanic, under direction of the Fleet Maintenance/Facilities Technician, runs inspections, diagnostic tests, repairs a variety of vehicles and equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Uses knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs to companies Vehicle Fleet
- Conduct nightly inspections and adjustments; including oil changes and fluid replenishment, visual inspections to identify potential issues and other duties as indicated by DOT and other regulations
- Ability to repair and inspect vehicles in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), DOT (Department of Transportation), and company requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.

- Engine overhauls, transmissions, rear replacement
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
Education and Experience:
- Class A or B certification, strongly preferred
- Required High School diploma or equivalent of education and experience, preferred
- 1-5 years of preventative maintenance experience
- Must possess tools required for vehicle maintenance
- Must obtain a valid driver’s license, class C license at minimum
- HVAC certification
- DOT brake certification
Working Conditions:
This position will be based in a non-climate-controlled building with extended periods of standing, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and using manual dexterity to operate hand tools at different angles, including overhead. This position will require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
