Location: Hutchinson, Kansas

Status: Hourly non-exempt, full time

Supervision: No direct supervisory responsibility

About the Role:
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide frontline IT support for our staff in order to support of our day-to-day operations.

Who You Are:
You are an experienced IT professional; dedicated to providing support for your internal customers. You are a problem solver; passionate about working in an organization that values timely service. You work well either independently or collaborating with a team.

What You Will Do:
You will familiarize yourself with all information technology tools used by a staff that works both on-site and remotely. And you will provide support for the use of those tools.

  • Ensure workstation continuity for all system users
  • Perform preventative maintenance on workstations
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install approved software and hardware
  • Set up new workstations and train staff on usage
  • Be on-call for time periods as assigned by supervisor
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to users
  • Proactively recommend ways to improve computer and phone capabilities
  • Maintain detailed log and documentation of equipment
  • Treat people fairly, consistently, and with respect
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

What You Bring:
This tech position requires the following education, experience, skills, and abilities:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in IT help desk duties
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • High attention to detail, understanding the importance of top-quality customer service with a professional attitude
  • Experience with setup, maintenance, and use of multiple computers, phone and mobile devices and operating systems
  • Ability to quickly learn technologies and skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Willingness to be open, to learn and to take on new responsibilities
  • Regular, reliable attendance
