Melwood is Hiring an INTERN-WISH Near Arlington, VA

Description

The W.I.S.H. intern reports to the Melwood Program Director and works a 40-hour week. The intern at the W.I.S.H. will gain skills in the areas of administrative support, customer service, and data entry. The selected intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Throughout the duration of the internship, there will be a variety of opportunities made available to assist with a variety of tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to customer inquiries, and inputting data into ETO.

The W.I.S.H. internship will be reviewed every six months to ensure the expectations of the role are being met and to provide performance feedback. By the end of your internship, you should be able to effectively manage administrative tasks, provide excellent customer service, and accurately input data into our systems. This internship will provide the opportunity to gain work skills while on the job and hands-on experience in the field of community service. The W.I.S.H. internship will also consist of assisting with various projects, programs, and initiatives of the organization.

The W.I.S.H. looks forward to building a mutually beneficial experience that benefits both the intern and the W.I.S.H., while ultimately contributing to the overall mission of serving. As the intern gains valuable skills and insight during their tenure, the W.I.S.H team will look to the intern to bring fresh perspectives, ideas, and energy to the organization, helping to enhance the services provided to the community at large. Additionally, this internship experience will help build a network of references, develop professional relationships, and explore person-centered career paths.

Overall, the goal is to provide on-the-job training, professional development training, and valuable workforce experiences for skill development and resume enhancement.
