We are a dinner only restaurant. Our hours of operation are family and student friendly. The Melting Pot is a great supplemental income job for those with day jobs or those who are in school. A Hospitality Specialist presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. You would also greet Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, enter Guest names into the computer system, show Guests to their table and bid Guests farewell as they leave.

The right person would be able to naturally start up a polite and appropriate conversation with our Guests, as well as announce whatever their celebration may be. A Hospitality Specialist must be able to carry natural conversation with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Additionally, you would care for our Guests by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning menus and ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly. As a member of an energetic team, you would need to answer the phones professionally and promptly.

The job duties of the Lead Hospitality Specialist entails:

• Confirming all reservations for the day.
• Handling of the marketing to the guests retail available and the making of flower arrangements for the evening.
• Tending to all of the live floral items daily.
• Ensuring the door and phone are readily available throughout the day before dinner hours.
• Inventory of all host items.
• Keeping track of host contest results.
• Ensuring all paperwork is up to date with any promotional items and/or menu changes.

And must be able to:

• Understand our Guest-Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
• Welcome guests warmly by opening the door, smiling, and making eye contact as they enter the restaurant
• Seat guests at their own pace, handing the appropriate menu(s) to each guest after they’re seated.
• Communicate with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests so that guests receive seamless service.
• Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues PLUS ONE to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
